May I resell templates downloaded from VirtualClues?

You MAY NOT resell any of our products, modified or unmodified and offer them for redistribution or resale of any kind.

If I download a template, does that give me exclusive ownership of it?

No. Our templates (unless otherwise noted) are available to all of our members so therefore you may not have exclusive ownership.

May I alter or change a template to my liking?

Yes. In fact, that's what you'll more than likely have to do. However, you may not resell or redistribute any of our templates regardless of how much you have altered them.

What do I need to use the templates?

Most of our templates are either in Fireworks or Flash format so you'll need the appropriate program and knowledge to customize them. Our templates are created for mainly educational purposes, however you may use them in your design. They are a great way to learn how websites and graphics are designed and created!

May I download a template and use it for a web design client of mine?

Yes, however you may not charge them for the template itself - you can charge them for the labor time required to alter the template to their specifications.

Who owns the copyright for the template?

The original design remains the copyright of VirtualClues.

May I use VirtualClues templates or products on any type of site?

You may use any of our templates for either a commercial or personal web site however you MAY NOT use our templates or other downloaded material (modified or not) on any adult related site or site that promotes, links to, or practices in any illegal activities.

May I use photographs included with a template?

All photographs remain the property of VirtualClues, we do not use any third-party photographs in any of our templates, however you are free to use the photographs in your design as long as you do not claim a copyright for them or redistribute them.
