Fireworks CS3 is now integrated with Adobe Bridge. To access Bridge in Fireworks go to File > Browse. Bridge is used essentially for finding and organizing images. Your able to visit Adobe Stock Photos to search for and purchase single images or download comps for your projects.

Your also able to use Bridge as a more sophisticated "Windows Explorer" type browser to find digital photos on your computer. Not only will it show you previews of your collection, you can view detailed camera raw data of your digital photographs.

Metadata Info

The Metadata information will tell you important details about any selected photo (if it was taken with a digital camera), such as the date it was created, its file size, dimensions, resolution, bit depth, color mode and color profile.
Camera Data

As you can in the report above detailed information about the camera that took the photo is displayed. If you're a professional photographer, you'll probably appreciate such data.
Getting Your Photos into Fireworks
In order to get a selected photo from Bridge into Fireworks go to File > Open With > Fireworks 9.0. (Why this wasn't named Fireworks CS3, I don't know...)
You're also not able to use the Place command with Fireworks (File > Place). Hopefully this will be changed in the future.

The photo you selected will open in Fireworks in a new file.
Bridge is capable of doing much more than what I've covered but this was meant is a short introduction to users not familiar with Adobe Bridge. Take some time to explore Bridge to see all that it's capable of doing.
